Aftersun is a movie that recently hit us right in the feels. If you have already seen this highly emotional film debut, directed by Charlotte Wells, you know exactly what we mean. But in case you haven't had the chance to watch it yet, allow us to sum it up for you – although we highly recommend that you check it out as soon as possible.

The film tells the touching story of Calum, a young father, and his eleven-year-old daughter Sophie, during their summer holiday in a tourist resort in Turkey, sometime around the late 90s.
As the story unfolds, we are taken on a nostalgic journey through their brief summer vacation, reliving their memories captured on a MiniDV camera, with a soundtrack of hits from that golden era by bands like Blur, Aqua, Catatonia and All Saints.
Watching Aftersun almost feels like reminiscing about summer memories that you never actually experienced. Yet, the storytelling is so authentic that it makes you feel like you were right there with them living those moments.
