You can tell that we looove Sant Antoni. We’ve been here since 2014 and couldn’t feel more adapted to this particular habitat.
In this series, we’d like to share with you the best of our neighborhood so, just like us, you get to know the best places and you can feel at home here.
We open our ultimate guide with the best place to eat and have an apéritif at noon or have some drinks at night.
Vermuntería La Marcanna is quite a homely spot and has a large choice of wines to go with some tasty tapas. Ideal to visit in the evenings, starting from 7 pm, and on Sundays at noon to drink the mandatary vermouth. Carrer del Parlament, 36.
If you happen to be into hoppy beers, you have to try Barna Brew. This Brewpub serves their own locally-made, Belgian style craft beer, with unique ingredients that add an original and updated twist, such as orange blossom honey or Sichuan pepper. They have their usual beers on the menu while they also serve some “seasonal” options. Carrer del Parlament, 45.
Sant Antonio Glorios. This is a great option for when you are feeling hungry. Their menu is delicious, varied and with quality ingredients. Always inspired by the nomadic lifestyle and the global vision of his chef, they serve from risotto to ceviche; always cooked with love. Carrer de Manso, 42.
Bodega d’en Rafel. It’s been an icon from Sant Antoni since forever. Their clientele couldn’t be more eclectic, with great attendance from the people from the hood. They serve delicious homemade food and are excellently skilled at cutting Serrano ham. Don’t forget to order the house cava. A flawless plan for your evenings from Monday through Saturday. Music and beers, this is the plan at the cultural bar Perros Mediterráneos, which also has a record store. Stay tuned to their program; they organize many exhibits, dj sets and other events such as theme nights or markets. Carrer Comte Borrel, 8.
Calders is perfect for any kind of plan: having coffee, drinking vermouth or beer, or having some of the yummy options from their menu. This is a place for any occasion, with a chill and cheerful vibe; it’s been open for 11 years already. Our tip: enjoy the house vermouth sitting in the terrace Parlament, 25.
If you feel like having a proper drink, go straight to Bitter, where they make amazing cocktails. Their many is quite varied, with many options ranging from the classics to their own creations, which are highly recommended. A night plan for the weekend. Carrer de Viladomat, 17.
