The name of The North Face honors the coldest, harshest and most implacable face of the mountains. A brand that has helped mountaineers reach the most difficult peaks of the Himalayas but which, however, begins its history on a beach. More precisely, in the North Beach neighborhood of San Francisco, at an altitude of only 45 meters above sea level. It was there, when in 1966 two lovers of trekking decided to give free rein to their passion, opening a small mountaineering shop soon becoming a brand of their own.
Today, more than 50 years after its humble opening, The North Face continues to offer a broad line of clothing, equipment and performance footwear. Challenging the limits of innovation so that we can challenge the limits of exploration both in the mountains and with a more urban slope.
